I think that they might actually be building up to this. Especially since the Avengers and Spider-Man franchises have essentially done crossovers in movies, it is more likely than ever. Think about it- we've got all the Avengers characters and possibly more like the Wasp and Goliath coming in for an Avengers 2, Spider-Man, X-Men, all those already in movies. and then they are playing with the idea of both a Fantastic Four reboot and Daredevil movie. Everyone is coming together!
